We had a snow day today so I am working from home. Managed to crank these out without the kids noticing. Now just need to sneak them in lunches.

I used a big Lindt 78% bar and a big Dove milk chocolate. The Dove was a poor choice and did not want to melt. It ended up bursting the sandwich bag I was squeezing it out of.

I bought my wife a new pcv valve today haha.

my parents tried doing something with my kids that involved melting chocolate. they got what was probably store brand chocolate chips and those did not want to melt at all, they turned into some crusty mess.

Yeah it’s kinda of a crap shoot depending on what you get. I usually buy G hirardelli and have had great success melting it. They have those quick melts which work pretty good.

Ghirardelli milk or dark chips are what I use. Their white chips do not melt well, though. If I’m doing a white chocolate ganache, I usually use a cheaper brand (I can’t remember which one, at the moment).
